Strategic Partnership since 2015

Since the expansion of the joint university agreement into a Strategic Partnership in 2015, both partner universities have granted the cooperation a privileged status: On the research level, Joint Seminars provide a framework to (further) develop research projects and prepare project proposals. Since 2015, a total of twelve such joint seminars have been held. In addition, the new mobility program Mobility Fellowships promotes research stays of scientists of the University of Vienna at the Strategic Partner Universities.

The Non-EU Teaching Mobility program enables networking on the teaching level: The incoming program supports teaching visits from non-European partner universities (3 weeks to 3 months) at the University of Vienna.

Joint classrooms

In the area of student mobility there are cooperation activities within the framework of the Non-EU Student Exchange Program, the Erasmus + International Mobility and the annual Prof. Dr. med. Peter Landesmann German Language Scholarships Program, which offers Summer German courses at the University of Vienna for HUJI students. In 2018, a Joint Classroom, an innovative joint teaching project between the Institute of Old Testament Science and Biblical Archeology at the University of Vienna and the Department of Archeology of the HUJI took place.
